Dream Stream Trout Migration – March 6, 2012

Just before our Dream Stream trip Theo Anest of Colorado Skies Outfitters, Parker, will discuss the annual migration of giant cutties and rainbows moving out of 11 Mile Reservoir into the Dream Stream Section of the South Platte. This three mile long Colorado tailwater section of the South Platte River is nestled in the windswept high mountain plain of South Park.  Flowing out of Spinney Mountain Reservoir, meandering through prime big trout habitat, the river eventually flows into Eleven Mile Reservoir. Theo will be walking us through the various staging areas for pre-spawn fish, how to better see fish in deep holes, fly selection and hiding spots.  Be sure to join us at the meeting for the inside scoop on fishing the Dream Stream. Theo has been guiding the area for a number of years. In addition to guiding he has competed and placed in numerous casting competitions. During the social hour be sure to ask him about his techniques.
