Denver Chapter Meeting – March  3, 2020

Our speaker will be Cat O’Grady from The Drift Fly Shop in Pueblo. She will be presenting on various bugs and techniques that will come in handy for our March club trip to the Arkansas Tailwaters. We look forward to seeing you there!!

Cat O’Grady has been in love with fish and insects for as long as she can remember. Having completed her Bachelor degree in Environmental Biology and Chemistry, she now finds a happy home in the employment of The Drift Fly Shop. Cat has been a guide, shop attendant, and instructor in the fly fishing world for fourteen years. She is in her third year as a SAGE ELITE PRO and is an instructor at CSU-Pueblo where she teaches fly fishing. When she is not stream-side on her beloved Arkansas River Tailwater, Cat can be found with her nose in a book or a vial of insects in her hands.

Traveling and Fly-Fishing Argentina

We are pleased to have Mark Foley of First Cast Fly Fishing present a slide show about traveling and fly-fishing in Argentina.At age 29, Mark spent one year hiking and fishing the Andes mountain range and he is a former Argentina Orvis endorsed fly-fishing lodge manager.During his presentation, he will take us on a journey from Tierra del Fuego to the border of the Bolivian rainforest.We will see spectacular pictures of the Andes, wild trout, Golden Dorado, and other wildlife.Lastly, he will share many DIY travel and fishing secrets of Argentina and Patagonia.
