Denver Chapter Member Meeting

08/11/2020 @ 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm

Talk:  What’s in an angler’s control?

There is a growing body of science showing that when anglers make small adjustments in the way they catch, handle, and release fish it can create better outcomes for individual fish and populations.  Keep Fish Wet provides anglers with the science-based best practices needed to release fish in the best condition possible.  We believe that by using science-based best practices, anglers can put conservation into practice every time they catch a fish.

Bio: Sascha Clark Danylchuk

Sascha is the Executive Director of Keep Fish Wet (formerly known as KeepEmWet Fishing).  As a fisheries scientist, Sascha has focused much of her work on recreational angling, specifically the science of catch-and-release.  It is the intersection between her work as a scientist and her passion as an angler that led Sascha to Keep Fish Wet.  With a belief that recreational anglers have something to learn from fisheries scientists and that scientists need to make their work accessible to a wider audience, Sascha endeavors to develop a space in which everyone can communicate more directly and in language that can be understood by all.
