Boulder Creek – Weather Canceled

June 26

Are you new to the club or needing a little extra help to get started?  Look for “Buddy Here!” in the attendee list above. Reach out directly to Buddies to  coordinate. We can’t guarantee that CWF Buddy Volunteers will always be available on a trip but we’ll try!

The weather forecast for Kriley looks really iffy, so instead of wondering about the weather at Kriley, let's fish Boulder Creek instead. The flows are still coming down from runoff, but it's been fishing lights out on dry flies right now in any soft water up the canyon.

Let's meet at the Elephant Rock/Boulder Canyon Trail parking area at 9am (link below), there are a couple nice spots to fish there. We can work up the canyon from there - they recently finished the extension of the Boulder Creek path which I'd like to explore to see if you can access good spots to fish. There are also lots of pullouts up canyon. We can also hit Eben Fine Park if we feel like it (though there's always the dreaded tube hatch on weekends but maybe runoff will keep people out of the water)

You'll want waders or I've been wet wading comfortably with neoprene socks. 3-5 weight rods or tenkara
There might be some scrambling along the creek bank.
Meet Time/Location:

9am at the Elephant Rock/Boulder Canyon Trail parking lot

There are a few parking spots on the right, and also a huge dirt parking lot on the left side of the road.
