St. Vrain State Park – Denver and NoCo Chapters


Join us for an end of season fish-along and picnic! Let’s get the Denver and NoCo chapters together for a day at St. Vrain State Park. Please sign up!

Location: 3785 Weld County Road 24.5, Firestone, CO Google Map and Directions

Meet Time and Location: 9am, Picnic @ 12:30pm, Let’s meet in the Parking area between Mallard and Sandpiper Ponds. There is a restroom and a picnic shelter nearby.


  • Bring a dish to share for our picnic at 12:30pm. Paper plates, napkins, plasticware, trash bags, water and iced tea will be provided.
  • Jane is in Campsite #37 and will hold a campfire on Saturday night. 
  • St. Vrain State Park is a family-friendly destination for visitors seeking a peaceful and simple outdoor break. It’s an easy drive from Denver or Fort Collins, located on Highway 119 just off I-25 (Exit 240). Formerly named Barbour Ponds, this nature and people-friendly park offers 604 acres of land and 152 acres of water split among several ponds. It’s a great place for anglers, campers, photographers, birders, walkers and anyone who loves nature. Since 2006, Colorado State Parks added amenities like modern camping facilities, trail additions and fishing piers, with many more improvements on the way.



  • All guests of members must sign a release form before attending CWF trips. The guest must sign and bring the signed form to the trip meet location/time and provide to the POC before fishing with the club. Members can download the form here:  Acknowledgement of Risk and Release of Liability for Guests
