Forms and Guidelines for the Newsletter articles

Instructions: Click on the appropriate link. (If in doubt, select the txt version.)  Save a copy on your own computer to write in your trip information, OR print it from the screen and use it as a guideline to type or hand-write your article. Then mail or email the completed article to the newsletter editor.

Sneak Peek – Due 2 months before the trip.

  • Word Doc format (Will open in Word Pad or MS Word.)
  • rtf (Rich Text Format) – retains formatting, will open in most text editors.)
  • txt format (Generic form that will open in any text editor like Notepad or Simple Text.)

Feature article – Due 15th of month before trip.

Follow-up Story.

There is no form for this report. Write (or ask someone else on the trip to write) a short trip report. Send it to the newsletter editor as soon as possible after the trip. The report typically includes, but is not restricted to, the following information:

  • Date and location of the trip
  • Who was on the trip
  • General fishing results and experiences
  • Any occurrences that were particularly interesting, funny, or otherwise noteworthy
  • Photos, photos, photos!

About Us

Colorado Women Flyfishers (CWF) is a non-profit women’s fly fishing organization formed in 1997. The Colorado-based organization enjoys a diverse membership of women of all ages and fishing abilities, across many states, who seek fly fishing education, adventure and friendship. CWF services include on-the-water clinics, organized trips, monthly meetings, social events and tools to stay connected and build camaraderie around the sport.
